First Sort-Of Day of School! (OPEN!)
WHO: M'gann and YOU!
WHAT: One new mutant attempts to make herself at home, and hijinks ensue
WHERE: All around the Institute
WHEN: Tuesday the 16th, likely around evening hours
WARNING(S): n/a
[Option A: Outside]
One car ride done (and with a little time spent assuring her uncle that she could move in just fine on her own) M'gann finds herself looking up at the Institute from the front gate, a few snowflakes falling down and melting against her face. She knows she's staring, but it's really hard NOT to; this is supposed to be her new home away from home, after all. It's no hollowed out mountain, but that doesn't keep it from being impressive in its own way.
The snow is still pretty weird to see, though. She could walk across all that white stuff and worry about her footprints messing up the whole 'winter wonderland' scenery she's looking at. Or maybe instead...
Once the idea gets into her head, M'gann clutches both bags in her hands, rolls her shoulders to square up her backpack, and goes FLYING across the grounds, complete with a sliding touchdown at the front door. She drops both of the bags to hold her hands up for a little extra balance and announce,
"HE-LLO, Megan! I did it! I'M HERE!" before instantly clapping her hands over her mouth. "Oops... volume, M'gann. Watch the volume."
With that done, she reaches out to open the door and walk inside, maybe with a little less hovering and shouting.
[Option B: Inside]
There's a new green blur darting around the inside of the mansion. If a 'no flying inside' notice has been posted, M'gann clearly hasn't read it. Besides, there's SO MUCH to investigate, and flying gets her to those new places that much quicker. There's her own room with moving things in, checking the kitchen to see what's in stock, plus investigating the layout of the mansion.
To top it all off, there's a nice shiny new CD clutched in her hands that M'gann keeps glancing down at. She's FINALLY managed to secure her own copy of Mojoworld and can listen to it and look at the track lists and play it multiple times and-
And it's probably only a matter of time until she runs into someone OR just barely dodges them. Complete with a startled yelp and a loud "SORRY! Sorry! My mistake."

Maya's voice, of course, came from just about every direction as she called after any fast moving green girls. Were kids this bad when she first came here. ...Yes, yes they were. "If nothing is on fire you should slow down! The school isn't going anywhere, people have tried!"
no subject
"...Fire?" She asks, holding back a flinch as she looks around and takes her hands away from her face. It takes her a second to realize that it's just a question, instead of a statement of what's going on.
"N-no, nothing's on fire. I was just looking around, and wanted to see everything."
no subject
"Any other big rush that's got you flitting about like you've had too much sugar?" For someone so young she certainly sounds too old and jaded.
no subject
Hard to put it into words exactly, as M'gann shrugs her shoulders.
"Wait, there's such a thing as too much sugar?" She's kind-of-sort-of joking with that, judging by the smile M'gann tries to put on. "Actually I... that's the main reason. I'm kindof new here and I've never really been to- I mean, seen a school like this!"

Utsuho was, probably, a person being run into. She's being a very good obstacle today, what with sitting in front of a heat vent in the hallway with her wings sprawled everywhere else.
"Ow!" she squawks--almost literally--armored feathers clacking together like plastic leaves.
no subject
"A-are you okay? I didn't hurt your... wings?"
Wow. Yep, those are definitely giant wings; it isn't rude to stare at them, is it?
no subject
Someone's grumpy.
"What are you doing?!"
There were probably bruises from that impact--but nothing was bleeding or broken, so Utsuho promptly stopped paying attention to them almost as soon as she noticed them.
no subject
"Exploring- well, I WAS exploring until I ran into you. Sorry about that by the way! Nothing... broke, did it?" Her own CD is safe enough as she holds it up in front of herself as a partial barrier.

"... Yeah, hi." Raven said, deadpan as ever as she just stared at this new arrival.
no subject
Up until that greeting catches her by surprise, and the door gets shut with an audible SLAM. M'gann bunches her shoulders from the noise; this isn't quite the perfect introduction she was hoping for.
Doesn't mean she can't salvage it, though! She spins around, puts her hand up for a quick wave, and also puts on her best smile.
"H-hi! Um... you're a student here too, right?" She looks like the right age, at least. "I'm M'gann; good to meet you?"
no subject
"Raven."
Sorry, M'gann, but that was all you were going to get out of her.
no subject
"Okay, Raven. It is good to meet you." She's repeating herself, but maybe that'll just drive the fact home. Now she just needs to think of something else to say... and that's when she notices the forehead decoration.
"I like your jewelry." She nods to it. "It's nice."

Before seeing teeth and what looks like something ready to pounce. THAT prompts her into dropping her bags and making a nervous jump into the air... before realizing that she hasn't been jumped yet or had to fend off any snapping jaws. Actually when she gets a better look, the first thing that springs to mind is 'Atlantis,' and M'gann relaxes marginally, connecting the new person with an old teammate.
Right. First impressions; she can do this.
"H-hi! Sorry, I didn't see you up there... Um, what ARE you doing up there exactly?"
no subject
She drops down, which scatters snow around her. Considering how she's dressed, the cold doesn't seem to bother her all that much.
"Are you new here?"
no subject
"Yeah! Just arrived here as a new student; I'm M'gann. Good to meet you?"

"Wow, might need some airbags after all. You okay?"
no subject
"F-fine. I'm really sorry, I didn't-"
Wait. She knows that laugh. Her head jerks up to where a familiar face is perched at the windowsill... and she goes flying at high speeds towards Robin AGAIN. Though this time she pulls up short of crashing into him, babbling all the while.
"ROBIN! I-I thought I heard something about you going somewhere but I wasn't sure it was actually HERE but it's great to see you!" She pauses long enough for breath before adding, "ah, hi again."

B | hope you don't mind a late tag
"Actually, could I ask you a favor?"
Don't mind at all! Back tag at will!
"Sorry, my fault-" she's already saying before she catches the questions. "I'm alright though, thanks."
That's when she hears the second question.
"A... favor? From me?" M'gann doesn't sound hesitant about that, per se. Instead, there's a note of curiosity and even a touch of eagerness in her voice. It's probably not as exciting as 'help rescue library books from an evil super villain' but a girl can dream; if nothing else, maybe this a chance to be useful at her new school!
"S-sure! I can try to help; it's the least I can do after knocking over your books."
no subject
"Actually I'll give you a choice. The first one is that I need to grab a few things that I can't reach. The second is I need help with my own mutation and you might be able to do that. Which one sounds better to you?"

B - If you still are looking for people to play with... have Eli!
Her books clutched to her, her hair swinging mostly loose, just a small bit of it pulled back behind her head with an over sized bow, she was walking to class, trying to pretend there would be friends waiting for her when she arrived, holding a seat, filled with gossip and crushes and talk of the latest fad or latest tv show. But there was... nothing. No one.
Lost in her internal pity party, she didn't see M'gann until the two collided in a spectacular shower of papers and books.
"Ow! Sorry, sorry!" she said, looking down at the spilled papers, and not yet at who she crashed into. It was a guy, she was sure it was a guy, this place was crawling with them!
sure!
"You don't have to apologize, it was my fault."
She puts a hand out and clasps her fingers against her palm, in order to get some of the papers to stop fluttering and falling, and instead drift close to her.
"Too excited about being at a new," and technically her first "school. My fault."
M'gann is also a little breathless as she talks; either flying is hard work, or she got the air knocked out of her from that meeting. Possibly it's a combination of the two!
Re: sure!
Green skin. She reminded herself sharply that people looked different in this school as often as they looked the same. No one would hate her for spending time with someone with green skin. This wasn't an Andrea situation.
And even if it was... it wasn't like Eli had any friends here to loose.
Her smile became genuine again, warm and inviting. "Well, welcome! I'm Eileanea, but that's a mouthful, so my friends usually call me Eli or Leana."
