Alric scowled, stepping sideways to resume flanking, keeping an eye on Shaw for the moment. Trying to overwhelm him was certainly more appealing, but also somewhat riskier.

"...indeed. Inconvenient. If someone's got a trick to restrain Mister Shaw, I'm certainly open to options."

He glanced around the room quickly--if they didn't bring something with which to restrain Shaw, they'd have to improvise, so he has his eyes peeled for something suitable. Ideally some metal, something he could weld together on the fly to mock up a set of manacles, perhaps. Of course, getting them onto him would be a feat in itself, but better the second half of a plan alone than nothing.
