Joss really hoped Storm would make a lighting surge, but the chaff gave her a few extra seconds for one final gamble in case Storm didn't come through.
The chaff confirmed that the missiles used RADAR (as the point of Chaff is to fool RADAR based guidance).
Joss used her goggles to try to detect the frequency(S) of the missiles, and set all her communicators at the same radio frequency as the guidance systems, attempting to adjust as needed.
She then had Tornado open it's self and tilt at an angle to deflect the RADAR signal back at the missile. She put the communicators' signal up to full power, spoke into them and hoped...HOPED...that it would all be enough to jam the missile's RADAR.
One way or another, it would be Joss' last, gamble against the missile.
