SINISTER FINALE
WHO: Those who signed up for the punching dinosaurs Savage Lands mission
WHAT: Time to get a cure
WHERE: Savage Land Nature Preserve
WHEN: October 10th
WARNING(S): Violence, language, etc
The Blackbird was getting quite a bit of use, lately. It left the Institute early, before the sun was properly up—from there, it was a straight line from New York to Antarctica, with no stops between. The paperwork had been cleared, official permission granted for the team to enter an international wildlife reserve. There would be no scandalous headlines of border-crossing house parties this time, thank you very much.
The glasslike surface of the Antarctic Ocean stretched away endlessly beneath the plane, disappearing into a fog-clouded horizon.
They weren’t there quite yet.
But they would be soon.

So Kaede propelled herself upwards to cannonball through the pterodactyls' formation, trying to scatter them and keep them from regrouping into something threatening.
She wasn't using her vectors to hurt them at all.]

The one Kisume has pinned continued to squawk, this time more shrilly--and two other pterodactyls in the scattered flock swoop down to save their friend.
The rest scatter away, but there's more shapes that weren't there a few minutes ago lurking in the undergrowth.]

"Dang those buzzards are worse than vultures over a dead buffalo. But even they aren't as scary as that spider I saw."
Joss attempted to hug Rinka's legs in fright as she spoke. "It was the size of my dang head."
She looked back to the undergrowth, adjusting her goggles to see if she could pick the creature up somewhere in the EM spectrum despite it hiding.

If the they get away, it would be alright..although if they attacked again, she will be ready to attack again, this time with more intent then this one]

If it was so big, then hit it with this the next time you see it.
[She thrusts one of her batons at the redhead. Sure, she prefers to duel wield, but she can manage with just one in a pinch.]

"Ahhh sorry." She let go of her, but still kept a weary eye on that undergrowth.

[Ugh, why did she jump? Changing directions was so difficult and Kisume was in danger now and the time it'd take to land was too long--!
Kaede's previous hesitation at not hurting animals disappeared momentarily; vectors thrashed from her back and shoulders at such high frequencies they became not just discordantly audible, but clearly visible as so many jointless, resonant silver hands. She couldn't reach from here, but if the sound scared the things away, she wouldn't have to hurt them.]
