Booker is a bit spooked by the sudden addition of Adachi to his presence, but his shield is already up and it doesn't show on his face. He's more spooked by the U-Man disappearing next to him, enough to give him a tinge of a headache. He turns to face Adachi, and puts his shield long enough to drag him closer and close the shield up around them. He hands his pistol to Adachi and pulling out a shotgun to replace it. His skyhook is attached to his left arm, but as a melee weapon it won't be very useful until his sheild fails.

"The shield only stops things from going in, it won't stop your bullets." he speeds through his instructions as he turns to shoot another U-Man through the head, "Just stick close to me and they can't touch you. Until... until I run outta booze in my system."

Adachi may have some trouble with Booker's pistol, as it is a model from 1912 and already down to 6 out of 12 bullets. But Booker clearly expects him to be helpful.
