[Flandre had watched and read the news out of a sense of responsibility, but as soon as she could she almost immediately left. Not to the library, or to pester her sister--the latter she couldn't do anymore, short of getting on a plane back to France.

And the younger Scarlet had things to do here, just like Remilia had things to do there.

So she went to the gym, and wasn't breaking anything this time.

She was practicing rolls instead; fold her wings, dip her shoulder, ignore the crystal stabbing into her side, get on her feet again--and repeat, with less stabbing next time.

The claws on her feet weren't fully grown back yet, so she was being a bit slower than usual until she was fully confident they were capable of handling any strain. She wasn't entirely sure they were yet.

Also she didn't feel like dragging out any of the mats and the floors had been varnished recently. Scratching it up so soon would just be rude.]

I have to admit, I'm jealous. I'm not cleared to go back to my training yet. -Reimu huffed, stepping in to check in on her.-

Wobbly, but fine, I guess... It will still take me a bit to get my strength back up.

I'm more glad you're okay, which is stupid given of course you were going to be, but...

Your skull's pretty hard, but not that much. [Flandre teased, though that reminded her to take deep breaths again. The infirmary staff had been rather insistent on that, which Flandre understood now but complained piteously about when her ribs were still healing. Collapsed lungs were never very fun.]

Did you need help with anything? [Now she was being more serious, though.]

I haven't gotten a call from Remilia screaming at me yet, so... I'm going to guess that means you didn't tell her how things went down.

I guess that leaves me to tell her what happened... As much as I don't want her to worry, I also feel bad lying by omission.

[Flandre fell quiet for a moment, one of her wings refolding over the other.]

All right. [As much as she wanted to question Reimu's judgement after all that...well, maybe working it out for himself would help.]

I do too. [But he probably knew that, along with everyone else that noticed her fret the weeks after Remilia left.]

But she hasn't gone where I can't follow.

[And pester with an embarrassing number of texts and phone calls.]

We'll be okay, I think... I'm pretty sure I'm going to invite Raven and Alric as trainees for the team.

[She shakes her wings out a little, as if rattling herself out of an unpleasant mindset. Which she most likely was.]

Think they can keep up with us?

Only that she wished she hadn't smacked Marisa with a wing where they could see.]

[She stretches one of her wings out a little, shaking it out briefly before folding it away again, easing out a twinging muscle in her back.]

I think we'll manage.
