"Great idea." She unsnapped a notepad from its pocket, in her sleeve with the the same hand. It dropped into her hand with a flick of her wrist. "Any ideas? Maybe him trying to do A Midsummer Night's Dream and getting replaced by the real Puck?"

Feliks laughed, bright and earnest, nudging his leg against hers affectionately.

"I like it! I be he will, too."

Reki began sketching. Soon a little chibi Nightcrawler started to emerge, dressed in Elizabethan garments.

He let out another little snort of laughter. Yeah, he could definitely see Kurt liking that kind of old-school costume...

"Don't forget his tail!"

She snapped her iphone open and set it to record. With luck they could do it all in one take.

As yet backgroundless, the little Elizabethan Kurt Wagner silently yawned. "I'm so sleepy after pulling a nighter to get this production ready...Perhaps it vill be alright to have just a short nap before the curtain call..." Said the little balloon over its head, before it curled up, little Zs floating up from it. She looked over at Feliks, nodding. It was his turn.

Feliks bit his lip, thinking, as he decided what to add. He imagined a scribbled-out stage onto the paper around Kurt, then shaded it in a little, then imagined the lights coming up to reveal the set -- a sprawling forest set with white stone pavilions here and there, the trees and the mossy stones and the flowers all done in a stylized, art nouveau style. They blossomed to life around him, color spreading out from the center.

After a moment or two, small lights began to drift around the page, and one of the bushes started rattling. Reki, he figured, was better for drawing complex things like characters, but he was good at atmosphere.
