[Practically vouncing on her toes, Elphelt waits by the statue in the courtyard, a borrowed coat finally draped over her shoulders. She's still chilled, probably should have picked up a scarf, but she was in too much fo a hurry to care. Today is fun time, today is shopping time with a new friend, and she just... yeah, she doesn't care enough to worry.

Alright, she is a little worried. As much as she's tried to reach out to people, it's sort of hard to trust anyone beyod a superficial point, so it's a little like a test. Can she do it? Can she make it? And furthermore, will she cause any issues of her own? She's been virtually alone for so long, hardly had a friend in the world. Now it's all new, fresh, and slightly terrifying.

Well. Smiling anyway, she tugs the jacket closer and keeps her eyes open for Sun.]

[Sun was excited for this mall trip. It’d honestly been a while since he had last gone, so he was excited to go now. Though he wasn’t really planning to buy anything for himself, he was just going to help out a friend pick out a swimsuit..in the winter. Yeah, it was a little strange but the stores still sold them, so.

Sun was on his way out to the courtyard, tail dangling behind him, body wrapped up in warm clothing with multiple layers on. He’d been so excited that he picked out his clothes the previous day just so he would be ready to go As made it out to the courtyard, it wasn’t difficult to spot Elphelt out there. Sun smiled to her and waved as he started to come closer.]

Hey. It’s nice to finally meet you in person.

[Elphelt smiled and waved, causing the jacket to slide off one shoulder. It was going to be an adventure, she had decided from the start. Her first time really shopping, and definitely the first time she'd ever looked for something so revealing. Her dress didn't leave 100% of things covered, sure, but this? MIDRIFF? Scandal with a capital S. Hopefully she wouldn't get completely overwhelmed.

Looking him over, she admired his foresight in the layering. Maybe she ought to pick up something warm at the mall... perhaps some tights or a sweater. But that was a secondary concern. Right now, it was all about necessity.]

[She sounded almost meek and slightly nervous, quite a change from in her video.]

[Sun was all about avoiding the cold as much as possible. Whenever he came out in this sort of weather, he was always going to be wearing layers. Even his best was kept warm when he slept in it by way of an electric blanket.

Sun took note of her change from how she was on the video and in person, but he didn’t think too much of it. She was here and still seemed to be just as excited about going shopping with him as she did yesterday.]

Well, are you ready to get going or do you need to grab something else before we do? [Sun managed to get a friend to loan him their car as long as he returned it with a full tank of gas. He just hoped the car wasn’t running on E.]

[She bounced on her toes a bit, teetering slightly on her huge heels, but somehow kept her balance. This guy seemed nice in person, too, which was a great comfort; more than that, his own excitement was pretty contagious.]

Nope, I'm one hundred percent ready! Are we walking? It's a long way...

[Sun laughed a little at that.]

Of course not. What sort of gentlemen would I be if I took a lady to the mall and made her walk all the way there? [A bad one, that's what kind.]

Someone is letting us use their car to go. [Sun didn't want to walk or take public transportation to get there either.]

Oh!

[And then she lit up like a kid on Christmas.]

That's a relief. I was worried. You're a good driver?

I'm a pretty good driver. Not a single accident on my record. [Though he hadn't been driving for a super long time..

He motions for her to follow him and he starts to lead the way to where the car is parked.] Can you drive too?

Technically, I know how. In theory. I've never actually tried.

[She paused a moment to think, then scrambled after him gracelessly. It was true; she had a loit of skills she never particularly used but that were drilled into her head as a measure of control and for potential situations she might have found herself in as... well, what she used to be.]

[Sun didn't know if knowing how to drive in theory actually enabled you to drive but..but he couldn't prove that it didn't either.]

Maybe when I get my own car, you can practice on it to see if you actually can do it?

That would be great. I've honestly always wanted to try. New things are good!

[Theory was probably not good enough, no. But hey, she made up for it in excitement!]

How far is it by car, then?

[Excitement could be dangerous in its own right..if it wasn't probably maintained and controlled when behind the wheel.]

Maybe about a ten or fifteen minute drive, depending on traffic? [Sun digs into his pocket as they come up to a silver sedan.]

[Elphelt prefers this kind of modest enough car to all the crazy stuff she's seen and been in. It's just a car. Not a route to a mission or task.]

Did you bring music?

Huh..I probably should have done that, huh? I can run back and get something, unless you have music or a certain station you want to listen to. [He takes out the keys and uses the remote to unlock the doors.]

Are there any good rock stations?

[Yes. This delicate blooming flower?]

Or maybe something like... metal?

Is that the sort of music that you like? I'm pretty sure there would be a station that plays those. Don't know how good they would be, though.
