⊗Never let it be said that Emma didn't know her stuff. Not content with the paltry and tired and cliche decorations Kurt and subjected the students to at previous events, she had completely taken over, using a combination of her wealth and mutant powers to create a sort of bohemian love palace for the students. Dance floor, tables, the finest foods. This was not a party the likes of which they had seen before... unless they were part of the older crowd, and had witnessed Emma at work before.
Was she good or was she good? On the stage, Emma stood proudly, taking each of the auctionable singles to the stage, one by one, and selling off just a fraction of their free time to the highest bidder. And the fact that it was all for charity left the whole situation comfortably guilt and obligation free.
Of course, as the host, she was more focused on the party and its guests as a whole than any particular individuals... Attempts at sneaking off probably would go unremarked upon. Probably.
[[ OOC: Each auction will receive its own top level, as well as a top level for general mingling. PLEASE CONSULT THE PLOTTING POST BEFORE BIDDING ]]

(Perhaps he should, he starts thinking. But no. He's not a 'prince charming'. He's the guy who blows stuff up. And auctions don't need blowing up, right?)

"I... wouldn't mind if you did. Bid on me, I mean..."

He goes bright red right back, a couple of sparks popping off. "Y-you... you'd... you would...?"
Please excuse his lack of coherence. He's halfway between shock at her reading it in his mind and shock that she'd say that...
((OOC: Is the auction thread still going? I've kind of been timezoned out of it and I'm not sure if it's been called after Takakage or if I'd be threadjacking?))

"Okay, I'm... gonna be a little frank here, Kanji and please please don't freak out but... I like you. And I don't really think any of the other people here get me the way, well... you do. I don't want to end up with anyone else besides, well... you." She had to wonder if confessions like this usually went the other way around. But if there was anyone she was comfortable being with while lacking an actual physical body, well...
"That is, I mean... if you feel the same way then... yeah... I'd like it if you bid on me. Is that... weird?"
[[ They're still open for a little bit, so feel free! Takakage is mostly just being Martha's wingman, ha ha ]]

Girls don't like him. They never have done. Not that any have ever told him, at least. So hearing that - well, the sparks might be getting a little intense.
"I... you... I..." Breathe, Kanji, breathe! He looks up, down, around, awkward as anything.
Really, he's not sure how he feels. But... as far as people who could have told him that go... he's happy with the situation. After all, he - thinks he can understand her.
Kind of.
"It's just a ... a shock, 'kay?" he manages to stutter out, scratching his head. "I guess... maybe..."

"Was... that a pun?"
no subject
It takes him a moment to switch gears and realise what she's asking. At least it's a more mundane question, something to distract him from his racing mind and bring him back down -
"Wh- whoa, I don't do the power puns thing!"

"Heh, y'think so?" he says, laughing slightly.
