Thankfully, Palutena had the money to afford this moment. She wasn't a big spender and her parents were more than wealthy. Which meant that her allowances had backed up to fairly large amount. She knew she was fairly privileged in this manner but she didn't mind showing it off a bit to those who earned her attention. Which both of her date partners saw this clearly. Of course, she had fought hard over Elphelt but she would have done the same for Kaguya. Both of them were worthy of her best attentions! Of course, Palutena didn't know what to do if both of them were seriously interested in her but she was sure she could manage. Or, it was just the fact that she believed that both of them wouldn't be serious in turn.

Either way, she had a date for both of them. With their hand in hers, she lead them into the restaurant and got their seat right on time. There was no denying the fact that her account had the money to afford eating here. But, for both candidates, she started off with the same line.

"I hope sushi is good enough for you. I know some people dislike it but I really find it enchanting. If not, we can always go somewhere else."

Kaguya already liked Palutena well enough. Naturally Kaguya had turned up on time to the initial meet up, and from there went with her friend hand in hand.

"Oh, I don't mind sushi... I just don't have it often, you know?"

"It can be a little pricey, I admit. And hard on the stomach if you're not used to it."

Palutena was the same, barely eating it at all but relishing it when she could. She was breaking some table manners, resting her elbows on the table to she could rest her chin on her hands so she could look at Kaguya.

"But I'm pleased to hear that. I'd be destroyed if I made a fatal mistake."

Not really but she'd feel fairly bad.

A part of her wanted to tell Palutena to take her elbows off the table. The attention was nice, though. "Pricey, but not too much."

"Ah, but are you looking for anything in particular?"

Her elbow did come off the table, only so she could tap the side of her cheek thoughtfully. Palutena was sure Kaguya was looking for another answer but being herself, she had to answer in a certain way.

"Any in particular? Hmmm...maybe your wonderful smile before we're done here tonight. Does that count?"

"I suppose it might..."

Maybe she should start expecting answers like this from her. She kind of expected her to bring Elphelt along at the same time...

"Maybe, huh? We'll just have to see."

A somewhat bold statement. But one that ended right there since they did have sushi to order. This wasn't just your plain old rolls either. It was definitely high class stuff that Palutena was sure she had never heard of herself.

She's a little hungry, though, and these look so nice...

"I want to see what their California rolls are like..."

"You don't have to settle just for that, you know."

Said the girl who was going all out. And yes, getting pufferfish and, yes, just a little bit of fugu. Because there's nothing like eating sushi that would be a danger to your life if it was prepared wrong.

"Ah, but it's one of my favorites."

This girl is resistant to toxins, so she decided to get some fugu as well...

"That sounds like it would make plenty of sense. I wonder if it actually came from California though."

She never bothered herself with looking that up. Though naming conventions might suggest one thing, one could never know. Especially when it came to Palutena, who was always trying to break the mold so she suspected it in most other things.

"I think they were, or so I hear. A sushi chef decided to try something new one day."

Kaguya assumed that Palutena already knew, since she seems pretty smart to her.

"We'll have to find out who that is and thank them, won't we? It's hard to find a single person who doesn't like a California Roll."

Despite her complaint about it not being high class enough for here, she has eaten more than enough in her day. It was hard to say no to one since they were filling, cheap, and good.

"Perhaps."

Kaguya was quite hungry by now, so naturally she'll want to get a little more sushi.

"I'll...mark that down into future plans."

If said person was even still alive. Besides, they weren't in a position to go searching for someone like that, even know. Even Palutena wasn't rude enough to pull out her phone and start googling.

"If only we were a couple years older, though...."

"Hmm? What difference would being a few years older make here?"

[knowitallgoddess]

"Wine, for one! It's always nice to have one with a meal."

Well, living in America, Kaguya was probably used to it. Palutena, on the other hand, was not.

"Oh right. You can drink at sixteen in Europe, right?"

Kaguya had been born and raised in America, after all.

[knowitallgoddess]

"Technically, it's eighteen in Greece but it's not really all that enforced. Plus, if you're drinking in private, there's no age limit."

American problems, or something of the sort.

[eternalprincess]

"...That sounds a bit weird. No age limit?"

What's a bit of culture shock between friends? Even the culture of her grandparents has her going 'what?'

[knowitallgoddess]

"None at all! It's perfectly legal to drink what you want as long as you're in someplace private."

Which meant at people's houses, mostly. Not that she visited much outside of her parent's place when she lived in Greece.

"At home, basically?"

While she's not talking, she'll be eating, of course.

"Mostly. I've tried a lot of things though! I mostly prefer wine."

Though no one would want to experience a tipsy Palutena. Or maybe they did, who knows. She's barely got time for her food though since she enjoys talking so much.

"Mmn, I'm still a little young... Here, anyway."

[knowitallgoddess]

"That's true. I'd love to have you visit my home someday."

For once, it was a sincere statement from Palutena. None of her friends had ever traveled back home with her. Which she felt a little sad about.

"Perhaps one day..."

It's hard to tell how things go, but Kaguya is hopeful that things will calm down eventually.
