Come What May [OPEN!]

WHO: Fai, Feliks, and anyone and everyone!
WHAT: Mr. Feliks Łukasiewicz and Mr. Fai Flourite, together with their families, have requested the honor of your presence at their wedding!
WHERE: In and around the Institute!
WHEN: Backdated to April 7th.
WARNING(S): Alcohol use among the mostly-responsible adults, potentially lethal concentrations of fierceness. If anything unexpected happens, put it in the subject lines!

The last six years dragged and dragged, and the last six weeks have been such a rush.

Getting everything put together on such short notice has involved pulling a number of strings, a nearly impossible amount of free time, and an amount of money that Feliks would rather not even talk about, but when the big day dawns bright and clear, there's no time to worry about any of that. All morning, there's a bustle of activity as the decorations are set up and a small legion of Polish and Italian aunts occupy the kitchen -- it'd be pretty hard to miss all the commotion if you tried.

The ceremony is in the afternoon, with the reception stretching into the evening. Everyone is invited, and the dress code is "be fabulous." So, what are you all waiting for?

[OOC: Will put up headers for different parts of the party. Feel free to use this as a mingle opportunity!]

OBLIVION FOLDER - IN CONCERT! - OTA

As he had offered, Greg had managed to drag the band he worked with in Barthis across the pond to come and play for the happy couple.

The lead singer role was alternated between Gregory, in a fringed swede jacket and leather pants, no shirt, and his father in a black vest that showed off the marking on his otherwise bare chest, and leather pants. Whichever was lead singer, the other acted as lead guitar. Greg was using his White Fire to fly as he played, so that he didn't need his walking stick, though when he sang, he subtly used the mike stand to support himself.

The other band mates were undeniably mutants. The drummer was a green woman with striped hair that may or may not have been dyed. The bass guitarist looked like a patchwork man, or like a calico human, his skin made up of splotches of various skintones.

The music was a mix of power ballads and rock, though they had a few "traditional" wedding songs rehearsed as well.

Not one to muscle in on their gig, of course, Alric would be quite willing to bow out and let them do their thing... although he'd certainly be happy to join them as a bonus guitarist, if there's room.

Always room! And Greg's group would also be more than open to taking turns, and... to backing him up as well. Greg, his dad, and Quilt are ALL always happy to have someone new to play music with.

Alric's pretty heavily influenced by rock and metal ballads of the 80s and early 90s, sort of the heyday of crunchy distortion guitar and intensely emotive guitar leads and solos, although he likes to mix in a lot of classical components, as well. Music's always been something of an outlet for him, so he tends to play with a dramatic style. I get the feeling he'd fit right in.

Probably would. And when he has the control, Greg and his dad would prove to be pretty good at picking up someone else's lead. They'd have a great time jamming with him.
