A Sinister Legacy [PART 1] [CLOSED]
WHO: Director Fury, Xavier, Logan, Renko, and someone else...
WHAT: The time as come for Renko to turn herself in
WHERE: The Institute
WHEN: ACTUALLY ON THE 25TH, WE PROMISE
WARNING(S): Violent imagery
SHIELD Quinjets made surprisingly little noise. The one that landed itself right on the Institute lawn was almost silent, only making the most noise as it began preparations to land and empty outs its load of heavily armed agents, and of course Director Fury himself. As they emptied out onto the grass, he turned his gaze towards the impossible to ignore statue of Jean Grey, and the emblem below that marked this place as the supposed sanctuary it was to all who sought it.
He didn't look happy. He shouldn't be. This wasn't the sort of job he liked doing, even if it was a matter of national security. He and Charles had worked amicably for years and years. He had turned his blindside to the man so many times when the activities of the X-Men went into legally questionable territory. But his hands were bound... And he had no more choice.
Xavier and Logan met him on the lawn. Alone.

Not a word was said between them as they made their way to Renko's room, spoken or otherwise. The silence was toxic, and Logan felt like he was going to choke on it, but there was no sense in wasting words fighting it, either. It had finally happened... the moment where Xavier's ideals for the Institute as a place of hope and safety were tested again. But this time it didn't come from an overwhelming attack... but from politics. Renko wasn't the only one wanting to throw up.

"Miss Renko... It's time. If you are not well enough... We can provide a medical transport for you. Dr. McCoy is standing by."

The red symbol on her forehead, so often covered by her locks, was glowing bright and menacingly, her eyes white as death as she was turned over. Black, thick fluid poured out of from her lips, her tearducts, every place they could, pooling on the ground around her.
Very suddenly, Xavier cried out as well, gripping at his mind as intense, powerful psychic noise began to pour into his mind, causing him to fall from his chair. More and more of the black substance bled from Renko...

Logan felt it. The sudden, sharp sensation. A spike, a blade... something had pushed into him. Right through him. Impaled by it. But it wasn't Reaper's stoney metal flesh that had done it. It felt too clean, too... fluid like. He looked up from the wound just in time to see the life leaving Reaper's eyes, the same blade having pierced him as well.
"W-what..."

"You'll have to forgive my rather... crude methods. It was mostly just to stun you. You see, a man like yourself cannot be disposed of in such an in-elegant manner. This I understand. Please... allow me to give you a more fitting fate."
The man raised his hand, a strange red radiation emitting from the diamond mark on his head, identical to Renko's, pouring into Logan's mind and shutting down all of his senses, leaving him collapsed on the floor with the others in a comatose state.
"Now, my dear professor... that leaves what to do... with you. You see, I am in great need of your DNA for an experiment of mine that I'm, oh say... one hundred years overdue for completing. Please... do cooperate. I would really hate to compromise the results by having you die."

"Evasive action, now now now!" Fury shouted to the other agents as they were fired upon, taking cover where they could.
