It was barely hours since the Blackbird had left, hours, and in came thundering the next crisis. A critically ill mutant’s power had not only hastened the illness, but raged out of control—killing innocent bystanders in the process.

Protesters had sprouted up since the virus had been found—human and mutant, sometimes even both in the same crowd, demanding that the infected be shipped out, sent away, put anywhere but here. Now, they were quickly galvanizing into riots, and worse...

Get to the District. Secure McCoy’s lab, protect the sick there. Control the damage.

And see if the reports of Sinister’s soldiers in the crowds are true.

"We'd probably get back and have a phone call waitin' if that's the case."

Which would not surprise her at this point. But at the same time...Who knew really. But back on the actual mission because ahahaha..yeah. Might need to pay attetion.

"I'd give my accuracy about a 80%. Usually can hit what I'm after the larger the beam is..but to keep it from hurtin' too bad? Knock it down quite a bit."

Marisa looks a bit unsure at this point. It's easy to use giant beams and explosions but pin point accuracy? Not exactly her strong point. Even with what she said could technically be called out on. But benefit of the doubt?

Flandre frowned a bit despite herself as the conversation moved on to other topics.

"Are you sure, Marisa?" The team and...precision tended not to go together well.

"Something else we'll work on, then. Better we don't take that risk, if we can avoid it. Aim to discourage for now, and only where an attack is directly threatened. ...we'll reconsider our stance, if we must, but we approach this with caution. Miss Scarlet, I'll be relying on your ability to be used defensively. If you can intercept whatever might come at us, then Tiamaris and yourself will be the nearest things we have to a shield."

There is a bit of a shrug at that. "To a point, Yeah. When I was younger it was somethin' my teacher liked ta do. Kept me occupied with stuff other then runnin' around. But again it's more the larger beams so yeah..give or take a bit. Also try ta keep up with it from time ta time."

Something she kept to herself. Just a bit of childhood that she wasn't privy to talking about.
