Hellfire Club: The Mission [CLOSED]
WHO: Nightcrawler and those selected for the mission.
WHAT: The Hellfire Club infiltration mission
WHERE: Manhattan
WHEN: Late evening
WARNING(S): Could get violent.
Team One was already on the ground, infiltrating the party. The rest waited in silence aboard the Blackbird, hovering in complete stealth mode high above the island. Back at the Institute, Professor X closely monitored the communications of the team, ready to give the signal when ready...
It was go time.
[[ OKAY HERE'S HOW IT'S GOING TO GO.
Top levels will be going up for each mission phase. Each phase will, OOCly, go on simultaneously so no one has to wait for another team to complete their task. Players have freedom to play as they like, but the mod characters in each team (Feliks, Shindou, Reimu) will most likely lead the action in the direction it's intended to go. The mod account will pop in for NPCing every now and again.
Have fun! ]]

Suddenly, as she entered, she has a near miss, a collision that was barely avoided. "Oh, it's quite fine. I don't think you got any on me."
no subject
"Thank goodness. I'm so sorry, I should have looked where I was going more closely..."
A moment passed awkwardly, and he hurriedly tucked his handkerchief away again.
"Ah, I don't think I've met you anywhere, have I?"
no subject
"Most of my concern lately was avoiding the bitter cold we're having this winter." Which is sort of true, she is unused to the cold, and hails from warmer climes.
no subject
Still smiling benignly, he continued: "Honestly, I don't spent too much time up here this time of year. It's easy enough to work remotely, so why not spend the winter in the tropics?"
no subject
It wasn't too hard for her to slip into the mindset of a self-centred socialite, which was, perhaps, fortunate in this case.

"I don't suppose this is any kind of a place to dwell on things like that, though! You certainly wouldn't be able to tell about the weather out there, if you didn't know." In spite of all the cold-looking marble, the room was quite thoroughly and comfortably heated.
no subject
"Of course, you're right. No point dwelling on the frankly terrible weather." They seemed to have gotten the heat just right in here, not too cold, but not too hot either.
"I imagine you're a frequent visitor to events like these?"
no subject
"I've been to one or two before, we'll say that. It's not a bad kind of place to make business contacts, depending on what market you're looking at!"
no subject
Keeping a polite, civilised appearance was really par the course...
no subject
"No, I don't suppose it is.
"...I'm so sorry, I haven't even caught your name!" And he'd only just started drinking. Where were his manners?
no subject
"Oh! It's Hime." Like she's silly enough to give her real name? "And what might yours be?"
no subject
It was a large, well-known financial firm, dealing largely in real estate and commodities trading -- a major benefactor of every push for financial sector deregulation in decades, and no stranger to front-page controversy as a result.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Hime. Can I interest you in a toast? To risks, and those who choose them."
no subject
She's heard of the firm all right, she'd imagine that most people would.
"Pleasure's all mine," she said politely. "And I don't see why not. To risks!"
no subject
"And what do you do, Miss Hime?"
no subject
no subject
"I won't bore you too much with talk of business, then," he laughed. "What would you rather do?"
no subject
no subject
"Well, of course. We all want to live the good life, don't we?"
