A Sinister Legacy [PART 2] [OPEN]

WHO: Students and faculty of the Institute, plus some unfortunate SHIELD agents caught in the crossfire
WHAT: Sinster did something, ah... sinister... to Martha, and now the school security systems are attacking anyone and everyone that might interfere with his um... sinister... plans.
WHERE: The Institute
WHEN: STILL ON THE 25TH. TRUST US.
WARNING(S): Violence hooooo

As a reminder, there are THREE ways to be involved with this event:

1. Help the SHIELD agents on the front lawn survive against the school security systems! This will be combat heavy and will involve NPC assists from Nick Fury

2. Help protect other students, and those who can't fight, get to safe places! Not every section of the school is as automated as others and there are places that Sinister's infection of the security systems hasn't reached. This can be combat heavy or not at all, and will involve NPC assists from Storm

3. HELLIONS your girl No Girl needs help. Also the Professor and Logan. Your job is to head to the sublevels and break in to the most heavily secured area of the school and stop whatever is causing things to go haywire, and possibly stop Sinister himself from whatever he has planned. As usual, you will be assisted by Emma.

She should have known all hell would break loose. From here seat, she could see that quinjet land, with nothing else unusual happening until suddenly... Well, obviously someone has hacked the security systems and set it all loose on mutant and human alike.

She could not just sit idly by, anyone caught with there will need help. Her powers would be just the thing to deflect attacks.

And so, with a grim nod to herself, Patchouli heads out, ready to lend aid where she can.

[OOC: I'm not 100% sure if you meant she went out of her room into the school or out of the school, so if you didn't mean for her to be outside or don't want NPCs, just let me know and I'll retract this comment!]

By the time she makes her way outside, there's a frenzied battle underway. Many of the SHIELD agents have taken cover behind the quinjet, while others have made their way closer to the building.

Fury himself is standing in the cover of Jean Grey's statue, his face expressionless as he carefully balances and aims a grenade launcher. He fires a round at the reinforced metal riot door that's rolled down to block one of the exterior entrances to the sublevels, scowling when it only seems to singe the surface and leave a dent.

They can't help bring Renko in if they can't get inside the building. He doesn't have time for this...

"Moving on that door. Someone give me some damn cover!"

Patchy's heading out of the school to help get anyone caught out there to safety.

She doesn't waste time once she's outside, directing her attention to the more troublesome turrets that are clearly pinning SHIELD down.

She's going to regret this in the morning, but here goes. Patchouli lets fly a few psionic bolts at the nearest security devices, if she doesn't destroy them in one hit, her shielding ability should protect her from the inevitable response.
