WHO: Students and faculty of the Institute, plus some unfortunate SHIELD agents caught in the crossfire
WHAT: Sinster did something, ah... sinister... to Martha, and now the school security systems are attacking anyone and everyone that might interfere with his um... sinister... plans.
WHERE: The Institute
WHEN: STILL ON THE 25TH. TRUST US.

As a reminder, there are THREE ways to be involved with this event:

1. Help the SHIELD agents on the front lawn survive against the school security systems! This will be combat heavy and will involve NPC assists from Nick Fury

2. Help protect other students, and those who can't fight, get to safe places! Not every section of the school is as automated as others and there are places that Sinister's infection of the security systems hasn't reached. This can be combat heavy or not at all, and will involve NPC assists from Storm

3. HELLIONS your girl No Girl needs help. Also the Professor and Logan. Your job is to head to the sublevels and break in to the most heavily secured area of the school and stop whatever is causing things to go haywire, and possibly stop Sinister himself from whatever he has planned. As usual, you will be assisted by Emma.

The message Alric received in return was brief and to the point: "Already on my way."

He'd been in standby mode in case of something like this in the first place, honestly. Not something specifically like this, with the mansion going haywire, but it was always goddamn something, wasn't it?

He avoided the public areas of the building as he left it, moving fast and sticking to the more disused areas with lighter security -- as he passed by, he could see others gathering students there. Good.

When his path took him out a side door and into the open, he had to be more cautious about how he approached his gathering team. He took a detour to crush the barrel of a dart gun, then ran to join them.

"Alric, return fire, do what you can to take down the weapons. Tiamaris, if you can change now, do it. Fly to the forest, bring us some trees, we'll make cover for people to attack from behind. Move." His voice was sharp, but it didn't betray a single hint of distress, as if he had everything completely under control.

He wasn't sure how he should deliver the trees. He MOVED. He ran to the side, to get far enough away from other people that no one got crushed, then he went Dragon.

As he exploded into his new mass he crushed a few turrets. He didn't fully mourn the lack. Being in dragon form had him a little too close to the anger, to the mindlessness.

But he had a task. Eyes liquid orange, he took wing, grabbing another turret in his talons as he went, flying towards the woodlands.

Mitsutada had been mostly absent from the whole Renko issue, if only because he didn't want to involve himself in politics not of his homeland - but once Alric sends the message for their team to gather, he's immediately on the task.

It isn't easy to dodge the school security systems, so he substituted for his lack of speed with a few rotating shields. It wasn't much, but at least he could get onto the lawn in one piece, katana in hand. Unlike Alric and Tiamaris he lacked a little in firepower, which led him to simply approach his tutor in anticipation for proper orders.

"Reporting in, sir!"

Alric nodded curtly to Hijikata, aiming with each hand toward a turret--focusing on those he recognized as the more dangerous armaments--firing off a plasma burst at one, then the other. Each little ball of bright, actinic light lanced through the air to strike a turret, where it exploded with a crackling violet flash. He recharged each hand as quickly as he could, keeping in motion, in case the turrets turned on him rather than the SHIELD agents.

"Mitsutada! Make certain the SHIELD personnel are safe--protect them if you can!"

Hijikata, naturally, outranked him here and could countermand that if he saw fit, but waiting for someone else to handle things had never really been in Alric's nature, after all. Particularly in the midst of a crisis.

Hijikata glanced to Alric, but it was with approval in his eyes and a slight nod. He'd been just a moment from giving the same command.

"Do as he said."

Taking cover behind a garden wall, he looked over to see how the SHIELD agents were doing. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught one of the turrets Tiamaris had missed swiveling towards a cluster of them... Without time to warn them out loud, he raised his hand and sent a wave of hurricane-force wind to shove them roughly out of the line of fire.
