A Sinister Legacy [PART 2] [OPEN]

WHO: Students and faculty of the Institute, plus some unfortunate SHIELD agents caught in the crossfire
WHAT: Sinster did something, ah... sinister... to Martha, and now the school security systems are attacking anyone and everyone that might interfere with his um... sinister... plans.
WHERE: The Institute
WHEN: STILL ON THE 25TH. TRUST US.
WARNING(S): Violence hooooo

As a reminder, there are THREE ways to be involved with this event:

1. Help the SHIELD agents on the front lawn survive against the school security systems! This will be combat heavy and will involve NPC assists from Nick Fury

2. Help protect other students, and those who can't fight, get to safe places! Not every section of the school is as automated as others and there are places that Sinister's infection of the security systems hasn't reached. This can be combat heavy or not at all, and will involve NPC assists from Storm

3. HELLIONS your girl No Girl needs help. Also the Professor and Logan. Your job is to head to the sublevels and break in to the most heavily secured area of the school and stop whatever is causing things to go haywire, and possibly stop Sinister himself from whatever he has planned. As usual, you will be assisted by Emma.

[Eren looks for a moment, bewildered. He's never thought about whether he's immune to gas. He doesn't think so, but it's not something he's experienced before, so he backs off, out of the protection of the shield and into the line of fire. It's not that he doesn't want to help Feliks. He will, but he can't help him if he passes out. He can't help anyone if he passes out.

More bullets slam into him, and he lets out a noise. A rather loud, inhuman noise.]

[For a very long second, the only thing Feliks can think with any lucidity is oh, shit.]

[He can't get his feet under him properly, can't organize his thoughts enough to use his power, but he rallies as much as he can, clamping the fabric of his skirt over his mouth and nose as hard as he can to keep from breathing any more of the gas, trying to push away the urge to panic.]

God...

I swear to God, get back here and take cover for three seconds!

[His voice is thin and shaking, but even so, he tries to put as much almost-a-teacher-like authority into it as possible.]

[Feliks is too late. Eren doesn't hear him. The pain and the strain on his body have been too great, and so much tissue regeneration hasn't made it stop, but has made his body see the need to generate more tissue, with the result being that he rapidly shoots up—

—into a 50 foot tall giant.

He lets out a deep bellow. The bullets drive into his legs. He doesn't seem to feel them.]

{Holy Christ.}

[That's... Well. That's sure a thing.]

[Feliks feels himself shake, and tells himself it's just a side effect of the gas, even though he knows it's a lie, knows that he's terrified.]

[He grows pale, but shakes sense into himself quickly. The fabric still pressed firmly over his mouth, he struggles to his feet and raises his voice.]

Eren. Eren! Can you hear me?

[He lets out another loud cry as the school's security devices continue to attack him, without much effect at this point. He starts to move toward one of the turrets firing at him, then pauses when Feliks calls out to him.

He turns, focusing his gaze on Feliks, now far below him. It's impossible to know if Eren has recognized him, but he's certainly noticed him. He bellows again. His voice, ringing across the lawn, doesn't sound human at all any longer.]

[That sound -- that sound is going to be in his nightmares tonight, he just knows it. And those wild eyes, and those teeth--]

[Mother of Jesus, be our protector and defender against all that is evil...]

[He draws his back straight, and forces himself to meet the titan's eyes.]

Come on... Can you hear me? Just nod if you can!

[This is either something he can work with, or he's probably going to die. Almost definitely one of those two things, he feels.]
