A Sinister Legacy [PART 2] [OPEN]

WHO: Students and faculty of the Institute, plus some unfortunate SHIELD agents caught in the crossfire
WHAT: Sinster did something, ah... sinister... to Martha, and now the school security systems are attacking anyone and everyone that might interfere with his um... sinister... plans.
WHERE: The Institute
WHEN: STILL ON THE 25TH. TRUST US.
WARNING(S): Violence hooooo

As a reminder, there are THREE ways to be involved with this event:

1. Help the SHIELD agents on the front lawn survive against the school security systems! This will be combat heavy and will involve NPC assists from Nick Fury

2. Help protect other students, and those who can't fight, get to safe places! Not every section of the school is as automated as others and there are places that Sinister's infection of the security systems hasn't reached. This can be combat heavy or not at all, and will involve NPC assists from Storm

3. HELLIONS your girl No Girl needs help. Also the Professor and Logan. Your job is to head to the sublevels and break in to the most heavily secured area of the school and stop whatever is causing things to go haywire, and possibly stop Sinister himself from whatever he has planned. As usual, you will be assisted by Emma.

Her eyes fluttered closed as she focused on the other clones, on the two she had chosen. a small groan of pain escaped along with her last breath and then... there was no more reason to worry about her bleeding. She was quite done.

Her self shoved into one of the clones, though no one could say for sure yet...which one....

(aka, I need to see how the thread with Krista goes to know where her focus would have been)

[seeing her slump down like that, seeing her dead. Seeing someone she was in charge if die because she didn't react fast enough. Something breaks, something inside her snaps and she loses it.]

Luvander. Go. Don't let this happen to anyone else.

[She starts walking towards the cannon that did this. That killed her student, her charge, her teammate. There is nothing but anger, burning white hot anger and rage. Every shot of the cannon draws blood but gives her more and more power to work with. She walks right up to it and with a primal scream tears it right out of the ground, throws it over her head into the ground and just starts pounding at it with all of her strength. Screaming with rage the entire time.]

[At first, there is no reaction, and certainly no reply to Oulan's words. He's felt it before, of course. As long as he's touching the skin of a living being, he is aware of their entire body, every single function and movement, every flaw, every ache; everything that makes it alive. And when someone dies, that feeling simply fades away, until the body he's touching is nothing but a thing, a sack of meat and flesh with as much life and agency to it as a rock. He can't feel anything.

(Had it felt like that with Yesfir? He can't remember; the blast of the grenade had knocked him out. He'd never felt her turn into a lifeless object, but did that mean there was a chance she was still alive? No. No no no no-)

He snatches his hands away from the body in front of him, shoulders shaking, trying to breathe as a part of his mind reminds him that this is probably a panic attack. He really ought to know better. Not now, not when there are... orders. That's right, orders.

He'd been given an order. He needed to carry it out. Slowly getting to his feet, Luvander simply wanders off, into the melee, where he was needed. Making sure it didn't happen again.]

[it's better this way. Save as many lives as possible. Don't let anyone else die, nobody else. She drops to her knees in front of Eli's body. Tears in her eyes, her fists covered in her own blood. She picks up the body and cradles it in her arms.]

I'm not just leaving her on the lawn. Girls, you're with me, we're going inside.

One of the clones had stayed with Oulan, as per her orders, and one had followed Luvander, the rest had stayed with the rest of the team, following their last orders to protect the team.

The clones look at the dead body with a mix of confusion and sadness. They had no clue how to handle this and it confused them. They all had headaches, but they were following their orders as best they could.
