WHO: Quarantined students, staff, and their visitors
WHAT: So there are these people that are sick with a mysterious virus and they are bored
WHERE: Infirmary
WHEN: Whenever this week, they're not going anywhere
WARNING(S): People are sick. There might be undignified medical tests and discussion of bodily fluids.

OOC: Put in your header if the thread is open to visitors or just for fellow inmates. Or have multiple thread options. Run wild. If your character is visiting someone, feel free to start threads as well. Mind, visitors other than medical staff wouldn't be able to enter the quarantined area, so they'll probably have to talk through something.

Flik didn't really recognize many of the games. It's hard to have much familiarity when you lived most of your life homeless. He knows cards and that's about it so he's excited to try something new.

"That sounds fun! Would you like to play?"

"Might as well, not much else to do."

Grabbing the Life box, Alex finds a clear spot of floor and starts laying out the board. It looks like a slightly newer version of the one Jack and he had played with. Once all the plastic pieces were in place and the spinner balanced properly, Alex held out the little baggie of game pieces to Flik.

"Pick a car. There aren't that many rules for this game, so it's pretty easy to pick up. You spin the dial and move your game piece that many spaces, then do what it says on the space."

Flik sits down next to the board and takes about half a second before grabbing the Blue car. I mean, of course it's the blue car, what else could he choose.

"Ok, so I put my blue car here then I spin dial, yes?"

Alex normally played the blue piece, even if it wasn't perfect Chelsea blue, so he picked the white car instead. After inserting a little blue peg on the right front space, he placed it on the college side of the path.

"Basically. But first, do you want to go to college or do you want to go right into the work force?"

Important life decisions.

"Hmm. That is hard thought." He responded with a thoughtful look on his face.

If he thought about it, yeah he wanted to go to school, to be educated, but at the same time, he wanted nothing more than to keep being a hero to people. If he had to pick one I guess it's best to go with the path he was set on.

"I guess I'll join you in the college then, yes?"

"Good choice. You might start out in debt, but you have more career choices afterwards."

Alex doled out the loan receipts to himself and Flik, then set up the rest of the paper money and various game cards where they could be easily reached when needed.

"Now, we each spin the wheel and whomever gets the higher number goes first."

Carefully, Alex spun and got a 6. Middle of the road.

"Ok is my turn to spin then." Flik replies as he grabs the spinner and flicks it as hard as he can with his finger sending it spinning in circles until it comes to a stop on 2.

"Well that didn't go as planned" he says with a frown on his face.

"It rarely does," Alex says as he reaches over to give the spinner another spin. 4. "Part-time job, collect $5000. Excellent."

Flik takes another flick at the spinner and watches it spin all around before landing on one. Immediately reacting negatively with a quick "DAMN" that immediately shifts to a bit of joy when he reads the square. "Ha! Is good yes?"

"Yeah, you got a scholarship! Collect $20,000. Nice."

Alex doles out the paper bills, then spins again.

"Shite. 'Your buddies crash your car. Pay $5000 if not insured.' I forgot about the car insurance."

"I have good head start then yes?"

He flicks the spinner and moves his car forward six spaces.

"Spring Break? Well at least I get to have fun for this money"

"I don't know if that's an appropriate use of a scholarship," Alex said with a grin. He spun the wheel again and moved his game piece to the red STOP space. "Okay, let's see what sort of careers I get to pick from."

He drew three cards from the career deck and flipped them over. Accountant, hell no. Entertainer, no way. Athlete, he could live with that. Then he drew from the salary deck. "90,000 quid, clearly I didn't sign with Chelsea."

Then he spun a second time, collected his first paycheck and landed on... "Ski accident? Pay $5000? Okay, that wouldn't actually happen. I am an excellent skier."

Flik flicks the spinner one more time and it comes up a two.

"I lose next turn. Great for you I guess" he says with annoyance. Those last 2 spins were not his best.

"Rotten luck, mate," Alex said sympathetically as he took his turn. "Five. Let's see... what. Call rolls away. Pay $15,000 if not insured. What did it do, roll off the wharf? I could buy a whole other car for that much money. Maybe I'd rather use public transpiration. Sheesh, at least I got another pay day." His next spin landed him on the wedding space, so he added a pink peg next to his blue one.

Flik leans down and spins again, landing on the ten and moving his piece forward to the stop. "So I stop here yes? Or do I move to end of turn?"

Alex nodded. "You stop there. But you get another spin afterwards."
