[ Welcome to the wonder of the newly-mutant and rarely-exposed! ]

It's all...white and stuff! Did you bleach it?? [ That's his first assumption because again, not a whole lot of exposure to other mutants outside of TV. Sam's going to tuck his legs in so he can roll over and push himself up kneeling. ]

It looks neat! I've never seen anyone who isn't an old granny or grandpa with white hair. [ ...Err. ]

[Hey, he didn't go nuts like this when he'd been new to the whole thing, man. He'd just side-eyed the weird stuff.]

[It's not even a big deal. He just doesn't see why his hair had been an important topic of conversation. It's just hair.]

Oh--uhh, yeah. It was this kid I met on my first day here. He seemed really grumpy and lonely so I decided to become his friend. His name's Erett. [ Eren, he'll get it right later. ]

... I'm sure he appreciates it. [Deadpan. Completely deadpan. He can just imagine how much this other guy might appreciate it, being the grumpy sort himself. Which is to say: not at all. Nevermind that's how Toushirou has ever wound up with half his friends himself.]

[ Sam catches that, but decides to remain POSITIVE regardless as he gives a sheepish laugh. ]

I hope he does. He looks like he could use someone.

[Well, Toushirou isn't one to talk about whether people need someone or not. So he won't.]

So what was all that about the MLF? [Yes he's keeping an eye on the news, but sometimes the other kids have interesting tidbits you can't find there. And he doesn't really feel like seeking out a kid that sounds tough to deal with by virtue of being too similar to himself.

[He doesn't get along well with people too similar to him, usually.]

[ Ah, right, the MLF... Sam's ignorant about the news and this sort of thing in general so he hopes he doesn't sound too ridiculous about it when he opens his mouth, but then again that's him on a good day about most things. So. ]

Oh! Yeah... Uhh. The grumpy guy actually used to live with them until he came here. They adopted him... [ he wonders if that's maybe saying too much? It's not as if Eren had tried to hide that fact when talking to him. ]
