The entire campus is decorated for the holidays in red greens and silvers. It seems just about every major winter holiday is represented in some way. In the main lobby, there's an absolutely gigantic tree done up in a brilliant light display, with Emma Frost's touch added to the star. She's probably off somewhere enjoying a spot of cocoa with her old comrades, even. But really this wasn't so much for the Institute itself, but for all of its students. The ones that had no other home to return to....

More importantly, Feliks likes his present!]
It looks good on you.
[And this is probably the best-recieved gift so far, so he's practically glowing with pride.]
no subject
Well, duh, of course it would, right?
Here, hang on, I totally got you something, too!
[He skitters off to his dorm, and comes back with a package in red and white paper. Inside is a book -- Out and Proud: a Guide for Gay, Bisexual, Queer, and Questioning Youth -- as well as some home-baked gingerbread, a handful of Polish candies, and a stuffed puppy that kind of reminded him of Jack's weird, earnest demeanor.]
no subject
...That's a dog. Oh no.
Jack lets out a little squeak and drops the box with a wince, as if he'd been burnt. Belatedly he notices the snacks must have suffered from the fall, but he stops halfway through the motion of picking the box up. He doesn't want to look at the dog. He lets out a small noise of indecision.]
Sorry... sorry... fucking shit, I'm really sorry... [For a second he almost seems like he's expecting to get punished for it.]
no subject
[Well... he's probably not cripplingly scared of gingerbread men, right?]
[Feliks picks up the puppy, and turns it into a fluffy unicorn like the ones on his pajamas, which seemed to be inoffensive enough.]
Hey, hey, it's no big! It's cool -- um, was it the dog? It's gone now, see? It's fine, no big deal...?
no subject
I don't like dogs. [He manages to say. It's more than he managed to tell Beast Boy. It's not like he has his tape recorder to hide behind for explanation right now. Hesitantly he leans down and picks the box back up, makes sure all the snacks are in order and giving the unicorn another glance before frowning.] I'm sorry for making a scene.
[And now, more than ever, it sounds like a child speaking instead of a full grown man.]
no subject
Hey, no big deal! I make a scene all the time, ask anybody.
[He imagines a big hoodie pocket onto his pajama top, and stashes the unicorn there.]
A lot of us have stuff we don't like, it's cool.
