The entire campus is decorated for the holidays in red greens and silvers. It seems just about every major winter holiday is represented in some way. In the main lobby, there's an absolutely gigantic tree done up in a brilliant light display, with Emma Frost's touch added to the star. She's probably off somewhere enjoying a spot of cocoa with her old comrades, even. But really this wasn't so much for the Institute itself, but for all of its students. The ones that had no other home to return to....

"I may have to find and read this book," she said nodding. "Are many people those who follow this?

"The majority of Americans do. I think if you take all the subsections of Christianity and consider it one religion, it's probably the most popular on the planet. I'm from Greece myself and Greece Orthodox is overwhelmingly the choice subsection of Christianity there."

"Then to better serve Master Xavier while I am here, I should study this. Thank you. Where do... presents... come into this? Or did I misunderstand and you meant the time frame?"

"On Christmas morning, you give people presents you bought for them and they give you gifts in return. I don't know when that started but it's a custom."

"How do you decide what to give, and to whom do you give it?"

[knowitallgoddess]

"Honestly, there's no formula for that kind of thing. You get what you want for friends and family or anyone you want to get a gift from you."

She nodded a bit. "I am sorry that I did not learn of this sooner, then. I suppose that explains what I was meant to do with the money I have been given."

"Instead of apologizing, how about you promise that we exchange gifts in a few days? It'll be a little late but who cares?"

"Alright," she said with a warm smile. "I am Master Aqua, by the way. I am a teacher here, or I am meant to be."

"You can call me Palutena. I'm just a student but I'll be graduating this year."

[aquawayfinder]

"Nice to meet you, Palutena. So you are done now, or one more term?" She was learning to understand how the year was broken up in this school. It was odd, but she was learning.

"In May. It's not too far away. I'll be 18 before then though." Oh, how she awaited that day. She could actually buy alcohol...but not in America of course. Back at home, she could.

"If you wish, I would love to see you in my class then, so I can hope to repay the help you are giving me this night," she said with a warm smile. "After you obtain graduation," so odd not to see them test for Mastery, "will you remain to teach, or venture out to the world to do good in the name of your Master?"

"What do you teach?" Palutena had to think about the second question. "I don't have a Master but I'd like to attend college here at this school. I'm thinking of being in a more technological field."

"as things are segregated here, philosophy. I teach to all ages who would take my class. We meet outside on days when weather allows. which are most days. Focus is not learned if one yields easily to inclement weather."
