Um...well, alright. [ Sam doesn't look totally convinced here, but Bridget is pretty cute... What could go wrong, right?

He gulps and hands his smartphone over. ]

[ OF COURSE WHY NOT, SCREECH. Sam naturally makes a sound of alarm, hands coming up to grab the sides of his own face. ]

-And right as it crossed Bridget's face on its way down, Bridget simply...

And it froze in place. Mid-air. No movement at all.-

[ It takes Sam a moment to clue in. He looks ready to pounce and dive for the device to save it, but one tap and it's just...floating there. Or well, stuck. ]

In one touch, I change the way it reacts to velocity by gravity. In which it now doesn't do so.

More 'n that, mate. -Bridget reached into his purse, pulling out a heft looking yoyo. Just the prototype to what Moxxi was building for him, but it worked for the demonstration.

He stepped back, reeling the yoyo back and forth for a moment before shooting it out horizontally from him, a pretty extreme distance, freezing it a good several feet away.-

Watch this.

-Bridget grinned, clicking on the ring that held the wire in place, waving as he was pulled towards the yoyo, flying off the ground. He somersaulted upwards with the momentum and planted one foot on the yoyo, bowing in a pirouette... with the yoyo remaining fastly in place, midair.-

[ Not this is the cool superhero stuff Sam was picturing when when the thought of the X-men and other mutants who fought for good. Or possibly magical girls--either way.

That's so cool...! Sam's thoroughly impressed, eyes bright and mouth agape. ]

Whoa--! That's--it's amazing! You're like--you just wooshed over, and zoom!

I've known about my powers all my life, so I've had lots of time to practice. I figure with skills like these, the X-Men can't overlook me.

You whole life....?? Like even when you were a baby?? No way! I heard it only happened when you start growing up a stuff. [ He's still sort of hovering around his phone here--can he pick this up or is it locked in space... Would his own power cancel things out? ]

Well yeah, normally. Some people show their mutations at birth. I was one of 'em.

If you need your phone, just grab it. -It wouldn't move, normally, and Bridget was aiming for a prank, but with Sam's power...-

Oh--okay, thanks... [ He can totally grab it 8) So Sam will! He'll just nab it right out of thin air without a problem. ] I didn't know powers could exist that early.

... Wait, that's not supposed to happen. It only moves again if I touch it. Or I pass out.

...Huh?? What's not supposed to move?

Your phone. It only should move when I touch it. My power can only be removed by my own touch.

It...ohhh. Oh--that, er....would be me. Hehe... [ Sam's laugh is weak and kind of guilty, hands fidgeting with the electronic device. ] Sorry.

It's my power...I think. It stops other powers from working--but usually only when I touched other people. [ Maybe it's just whenever he touches a power? ]

That's weird... but I think I get it. Since unless you have sneaky hands, you definitely didn't touch me.
