It won't--! If people work hard to get along with each other instead of fighting then there--there doesn't need to be a war or anything like that!

When have people done that? Just look at history!

I know I'm not a bad mutant. Because I believe in the Friends of Humanity, and I'll do what's best for humans everywhere!

I am a dangerous mutant. My powers could cause significant fatalities.

But what about the mutants? The ones who aren't violent or dangerous and stuff--if you only save humans, who saves them?

Saves them from what? This is the best country for mutants to live in right now! They have even more rights than humans do, because no one's protecting humans from them.

But there are a lot of mutants who get attacked too. Ones who can't fight back and stuff...who saves those guys? Right now humans and mutants have the same rights as far as I can tell. We've all got the same amendments and stuff.

There's already laws in place for that. The usual laws about not attacking or killing people apply to mutants, too.

Mutants can get away with breaking laws with their powers, so that's what I mean. We have to keep them in line.

But regular people get away with breaking the law without powers...they're called wanted criminals.

You're just being dumb. The point of the new laws will be to protect people from powers. The old laws still apply.

Saying "humans break the law" doesn't make sense as an argument, because no one's saying they don't. The same laws are still going to apply to them. There's no way to make it so there are no criminals, human and mutant. That's just unrealistic!

Well...if they make laws protecting people from powers, it should be all people! Not just one group or the other.

[He actually doesn't care that much about defending mutants, who aren't the ones at real risk, but fine. He doesn't think that people with bad powers should be allowed to go around killing mutant kids, either.]

People with those powers can hurt anyone, so I don't get why it isn't obvious that the law's for everyone's protection.

With what powers?? Just the ones you don't like? You should raise people to be good instead of hating them all the time...

[Obviously the mutants are at risk, which is why they should want the registration too! But talking about what's good for mutants isn't something the Friends of Humanity do, so Eren just ignores this line of reasoning, even though it would support his argument.]

What I was talking about is how everyone harrasses me and calls me a Nazi because I have a different political opinion! But you can keep going on and ignore everything I'm saying like everyone else.

People always assume we're bigots, and yeah, there are some Friends who think those things, like there are some people who think those things anywhere, but I wouldn't let them say stuff like that!

Well--just 'cause! Like...what you're doing is saying that for sure, one group of people is guaranteed to be evil and they're gonna attack people for no reason. And even if they don't, there's always a chance they will so we should watch everything they do all the time and make sure everyone around them knows they're different. Not 'cause they chose it but 'cause that's how they were born.

I don't know about you...but if I had to go through all of that, I wouldn't be happy or feel safe at all. I'd be worried all the time about people hating me because of something that just happened to me.

It's different, because being gay doesn't kill people! I don't know how many times I have to explain that.

I didn't say all mutants are going to attack people, I don't think you will. I'm just saying that the dangerous powers should be kept under watch. Like we do with dangerous weapons.

I know it's not their fault. It's not my fault I have a bad power. I didn't want it.
