"... sweeping victories in both the House and Senate. Creed and his fellow Last Stand congressmen celebrated today, eager to begin the new legislation they promised in their collective campaign. Senator Creed enthusiastically exclaimed that the era of letting mutants go unchecked were finally going to come to an end..."

"... calling themselves the 'Mutant Liberation Front', or MLF, the campaign of vandalism and propaganda has been extensive in Europe and has started to appear in the United States and Canada as well. The MLF are most recognized by their tag sign of the double helix, along with the word LIBERATE. Most authorities are not incredibly concerned, as the group has been non-violent so far..."

"... as talks have broken down with Genosha. A special ambassador from the United States has been assigned to speak with Genosha on behalf of the US government, Gabrielle Haller, has stated that she will ensure that peace between the two nations will be assured. Industry analysts say that the hype that came as a result of Dazzler's coming out spiked the sales of her album well past anything else that's been release this year. [Eren doesn't want your creepy mutated mutant syrup, so he instantly knocks it aside and onto the ground.]

I don't want anything from you.

I have as much right to my opinion as anyone else here!

Dude, I kinda hate to be the one to have to tell you this and junk, but your right to your opinion doesn't mean nothing you say is wrong, or offensive, or hate speech, or that people who disagree are ~oppressing you~ when they use their free speech to disagree.

Also, I'm totally not cleaning all the OJ off the floor.

Guess what, supporting a law proposed by the government doesn't count as hate speech under the law. Not everything you disagree with is hate speech.

And I didn't tell you not to talk. That's what I'm doing, I'm disagreeing. The way it works is that you say your opinion, then I get to say my opinion back again.

No one asked you to clean anything, either.

See, when your opinion is that a whole demographic of people are naturally violent and don't deserve rights and death would be better than living as one of us?

You're not that far off from hate speech, and I'm gonna laugh at you if you try and tell me you never go there.

[personal profile] garganteren 2014-11-13 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Except I didn't say that, I didn't say they don't deserve rights. Or that they were all naturally violent. I said we should have protections against dangerous mutant powers! America is the best country for mutants to live in. You have plenty of rights.

My own personal choices aren't hate speech! I'm not saying anything about that now!

Why do you even bother talking to me if you'd rather just imagine things I said?
niepokonany: (Another sign of tragic space dementia)

[personal profile] niepokonany 2014-11-13 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not really sure how you can get all high and mighty about how good American mutants have it when you're kind of actively trying to make it worse for us than in other countries?

And I'm talking to you 'cause it's just kinda sad, ok? That you believe all that junk about yourself.

You think the registration act is going to make it worse, but it's not. Saying what you think is going to happen isn't a fact. This will still be the best country to live in. For anyone.

What I believe about myself is my business! And it's not yours. There's nothing sad about it. I put humanity first, and that's a good thing.

You put non-mutated humans before mutants, because you dehumanize us. It's gross and it's sad.

(Edited because I goofed. I apologize. Please disregard.)

I don't have to dehumanize you, you're not human!
niepokonany: (Stop trying to make "fetch" happen)

[personal profile] niepokonany 2014-11-21 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
What's the most important part of being human?
garganteren: (41)

[personal profile] garganteren 2014-11-21 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
What? The most important? What do you mean? It's all important, I can't pick a part.
niepokonany: (Who don't believe in sensible rules)

[personal profile] niepokonany 2014-11-21 08:46 am (UTC)(link)
Lame, cop-out answer! Think for two seconds and tell me -- what makes someone human?
garganteren: (40)

[personal profile] garganteren 2014-11-28 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Genes, obviously! Or don't you know science?

[He's not going to get pulled into any stupid philosophical debate!]
niepokonany: (And it's his piss-poor attitude!)

[personal profile] niepokonany 2014-11-28 08:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay, that's just a boring answer.

No, what's worth something about being human? Like, what's important about it? What's so big about it that it's worth putting other people down for?
garganteren: (Default)

[personal profile] garganteren 2014-11-28 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't care if it's boring. It's right. I'm not here to be fun!

[He's definitely not much fun.]

Humans don't have unnatural powers. They rely on themselves.
niepokonany: (some of his previous plans)

[personal profile] niepokonany 2014-12-10 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
It's the actual opposite of right, so it should at least be dumb in a funny way.

Earth to Whats-Your-Name, our powers are natural. We were kind of born with them!
