I'm fine...! It was just my nose! [ Pain in nothing in the face of a super-cutie. This whole school is gorgeous--he knows several of his friends who would kill to go here, mutants or not.

Sam's going to scooch back here so he can get his legs down and sit up properly though. ]

[She relaxes a little, smiling now. If he's not hurt or upset, then there's no problem, and she can put her hands down.]

Oh, good.

[She lets out a little laugh, relieved. He seems like a nice kid, after all, and maybe they could be friendly.]

Oh--yeah! Sorry... I'm Sam--I'm new, hehe... Err, but I think I'll be fine. My phone's not that heavy. [ Cute, cute, she's so cute...! ]

[If he was saying those things out loud, he'd get her blushing. As it is, she's just going to roll with his (kinda cute) awkwardness.]

I'm Aki! It's nice to meet you, even if that happened.

[She gestures to her own nose with a little smile and moves to take a seat on the bench next to him.]

So, what grade are you in?

Grade ten! What about you? [ Maybe he'll get lucky and she'll be in one of his classes. Sam would absolutely love that. ]

[She gives him a slightly disappointed look, but her smile doesn't fade.]

Aw, too bad. I'm in grade nine, so we might not have a lot of classes together!

Oh... [ It's okay, Sam will droop enough for both of them. ] That's too bad. At least we can hang around the campus and stuff.

[Poor Sam. He's like a kicked puppy, so she can't help but feel a tad bad about being the cause of that face.]

Yeah! And we'll see each other in the halls, too. It's a big school, but it's not that big.

There's a lot more people here than I thought there'd be, that's for sure... I didn't realize there were so many kids with powers.

Well, there's people from all over the world here, right? There's got to be a lot of us, if pretty much every country has at least a handful.

[She shrugs.]

But everyone's been pretty friendly, so far, even if we're all weird.

Everyone except that one guys anyway... [ Eren is by far the hardest friendship challenge he has ever met. ]

[She gives him a "wait, what" sort of look, trying to figure out who he could be talking about.]

You haven't run into some kind of bully or anything, have you?

[sugoooi]

Well...not a bully, but he is kinda unfriendly and grumpy a lot. [ Sam answers that sheepishly, calling up a mental image of Eren yelling at him about MUTANTS BEING EVIL. Poor misunderstood bae :c ]

[That reaction is not soothing her much, but she tries to relax. No need to get so defensive, even if she does feel a little overprotective after getting him hurt.]

If you say so. I don't get why you'd want to be friends with somebody with such a bad attitude, though.

Well normally yeah...but I get the feeling that he's lonely and just needs someone to be nice to him! Like a big brother! And I've got plenty of practice there. [ That's the working theory anyway. If he's nice to Eren MAYBE ONE DAY he'll be slightly less...offensive... He'll raise him right, he swears. ]

[SAM... that is not a good friendship, time to abandon ship, etcetc. Aki is a little judgmental about these things, but she does give him a look of interest at the mention of "practice".]

Do you have little brothers at home or something?

[People don't seem to talk much about their home lives around here, which is fair enough, but at the same time, it's weird not knowing if everyone around her is an only child or not.]

I have a little sister, wanna see?? [ Whether she does or not doesn't matter, Sam's already pulling up his phone background and sliding his icons to the side so that when he holds it up for her to see, there's a picture of himself and a much smaller, orange-haired little girl with their faces squished next to one another. ]

Tada~ Isn't she adorable?? Her name's Molly!

[She leans over, taking a good look at the screen before she smiles.]

She's your sister, huh? You guys really look alike, actually. She's cute!

[Will Sam take that as an indirect compliment?? Is he just a super siscon? Time will tell.]

[ Super-siscon. He couldn't be anything but. ]

Isn't she?? She's growing so fast...this was just before summer and she's already taller~!

[The pride is practically coming off him in waves. If Aki wasn't so amused, this might be a little weird.]

Still growing, huh?

[She giggles, looking at how excited he is. His little sis is probably mortified by how much he must hover around her in real life, but she's lucky.]

How old is she, anyway? She's still pretty small in this picture...

[ She often has to tell him to stop being so embarrassing, it's true. But she is his sunrise. ]

She's gonna be six soon! I hope they let me fly back home for it... You only turn six once you know!

Six is pretty special. She's going to end up in elementary school pretty soon, if she's not already.

[She sighs, a little wistful.]

I wish my little brother had been this cute. You're really lucky!

She's in kindergarten right now! Which is almost there. [ And he is so, so proud of her. ] How old's your brother??

We were born on the same day, so he's the same as me. We're twins.

[She shrugs, a little awkward. She hasn't really talked about her family in weeks, so it's a little strange. But Sam talked about his, so she feels like she ought to do the same.]

Buuut I was born first, so that makes me the big sister.

Whoa...I've never met anyone with a twin before! Do you look the same? Or are you totally different? What's it called...um, maternal twins?
