Club Week! [OPEN]

WHAT: Club Week is underway, and now we have booths set up for people to really recruit and get their ideas out there. Several NPC clubs have been set up as well. Plus, once again, if you want to get in on some X-Men team building, now's a great time for it.

It's about halfway into the second week of school. People are already starting to form friendships, build social circles, and embrace student life on the Xavier campus. The faculty has set up several booths in the foyer after normal classes on Wednesday in order for students to centralize recruiting for their various interest groups. Some familiar names pop up, of course. "Anime Club", "Chess Club", "AV Club", "Soccer Club", "Glee Club", "GSA Club", "Bible Study Club" and others. It's a pretty inclusive school, after all, so why not have a broad representation of interests?

As classes let out, students are encouraged to look around, get involved, and otherwise put forth the foundation of their social lives for the school year. And of course, there's always people looking to put together teams for other purposes, too...

"Yeah, that's totally the right idea! Like, way too many of are used to hiding how rad we can be, you know? Even I was kinda a little like that, when I first came here!"

'A little', in this case, meaning 'hardly knew how to talk to people because he was so used to being bullied for... everything.'

Alric chuckles, quietly enjoying Feliks' enthusiasm, and nods.

"Ah, yes, I've noticed. ...I confess, there are... one or two in particular who, I hope, would benefit from such an opportunity."

Someone in particular, huh? Feliks tilted his head to the side a little, curious.

"Like who?"

Alric smiles contritely and shakes his head a little.

"...mm. Well, it would be a bit crass on my part to name names, I think. But suffice it to say that not all of us are... comfortable with our powers."

"You're like, totally missing out on the rich world of gossip this school has to offer, dude."

As Alric may have realized by now is quite usual for him, Feliks doesn't seem actually bothered in the slightest.

"But the chance to show off a little could be totally fun for everybody!"

"Burdens of my station," he answered, at least half-jokingly. There were plenty of advantages to his station, as well, obviously, but that's another matter entirely.

"But, yes, I agree wholeheartedly that it would be an enjoyable event."

"So? What's your talent?"

It had to come up eventually, in this conversation.

Alric pauses a moment, smiling to himself contemplatively for a moment before answering.

".....well, as far as less... incendiary talents, I have.. dabbled with music and fencing for many years. I suppose I'd perform something from one or the other of those."

"Some totally badass sword moves? That sounds pretty awesome!"

"Ah, something like that, yes. Perhaps a lightly choreographed sparring match with another sword enthusiast..."

"It probably wouldn't be too hard to find something like that! There's kind of a ton of them around here -- I don't know what it is about this school..."

"Mm. Well, as a thought... all of us have had, to some degree, to find our own ways of doing things, differently from society at large, so one probably ought to expect to see things that, elsewhere, wouldn't be so popular. And given that freedom from conventional modern tastes, really, who wouldn't like swords?"

"I mean, it does seem more badass than a lot of hobbies!" Feliks feels that's pretty legitimate.

"I couldn't possibly formulate an argument to the contrary."

"Right? It's not super my kind of thing, but it does look pretty rad!"
