Authorities and witnesses both claim that it was literally impossible for the bomb to have been placed where it was unless someone had the ability to literally teleport into the terminal. Several experts are drawing this incident's blame to ex-Brotherhood assassin and terrorist only known at large as 'The Vanisher'..."

Smelled tension... rather, I smelled you. [He frowns.] Honestly, I was just curious why I could smell someone there if I couldn't hear them. You've got... uh... audio powers?

The best way of describing my mutation is that I'm a werewolf. I can smell, hear and see as well as a wolf. Or... well, maybe a little better.

Cool, I just manipulate soundwaves, which means I am just aware of all the sounds around me. Which is fine except for when you're at a school where explosions just... happen. And have you gotten used to hearing people have cause that still bothers the heck out of me.

I've spent the last 20 years living in Manhattan, over in Mutant Town. You get used to the explosions eventually, I think.... and all the other noises you run across.

*Maya wrinkles her nose at his smoking but she doesn't say anything. The smoke is mostly being pushed away from her by the circulation in the school.*
When I started here explosions were pretty much a daily thing. And back then I had pretty much no control over my powers or any way to tone down the sound around me. It wasn't much fun. I can't help with the smells people have, or what you can see... but if you need it quiet I can do something about that.

*She can't help it, she doesn't think smoking is cool. She thinks its lame, and her soccer all star athlete sister made sure Maya was aware how little she would approve of smoking. Maya smiled though and the sound just... stopped. The students in other parts of the school down to the ambient buzz of the lights and electrical system.*
Not really in the best place to keep doing that for long, but I figured you would like to know what you're getting into.

[And then suddenly everything is silent, and it spooks him quite clearly. He glances around the room before realizing what is happening, and after a few moments of consideration takes a deep breath and nods.]
I like this. But I probably wouldn't want it for more than a few minutes. [It gives him the rising sense that he's missing something important.]
