Authorities and witnesses both claim that it was literally impossible for the bomb to have been placed where it was unless someone had the ability to literally teleport into the terminal. Several experts are drawing this incident's blame to ex-Brotherhood assassin and terrorist only known at large as 'The Vanisher'..."

"... increased security for his upcoming public address. Now more than ever, calls are incredibly loud and clear for some kind of Mutant Registration law. Alleged mutant terrorism has spiked recently internationally, and many in the US public feel that President Kelly needs to take a leadership position on this much like he did during his congressional career..."

He also detailed his thoughts on Mutant Registration, saying that he felt like it wasn't the solution to the problem, and that humanity could only move forward if they embraced unity between humans and mutants. He went on to say that his philosophy of the Third Species suggests that there will be a time when the entire planet is mutant, and peace can come from accepting this..."

Delroy Garrett, Jr was stipped of the medals he'd won in the 2016 Olympics and has been panned universally for what was, essentially, cheating in some of the worlds' most coveted sports. The triathlete said that he doesn't regret coming out, and that he had to be who he was in the world today or those medals would have been truly meaningless..."

Captain America said, firmly siding with Garrett and his supporters. 'I don't see any reason why these athletes, who have trained and worked hard to represent their countries should be denied that right based on how they were born. It just isn't right.' Rogers was also asked about the growing tension between mutant nation Genosha, whom protested the Winter Olympics this year due to the anti-mutant rulings, and the United States. Rogers refused to comment..."

Bigby will find Alric generally all right, but certainly concerned--very likely, sitting in the branches of a tree on the grounds, writing in a notebook, with a rather troubled expression.

He's very happy to have tracked down Alric's scent, but the place he finds him in is... unexpected. So he wanders over to check on him in person.

"Taking a break from the ground?" He jokes as he looks up into the branches, absently lighting up a new cigarette.

"...ah? ...oh, Mr. Wolf."

He chuckles, glancing about at the tree.

"As a child, I often used to hide in the trees on my family's estate, whenever I needed time to myself. I've found the limbs of a tree somewhat comforting, ever since. I was just, ah.. thinking about the news."

Bigby raises a brow; Alric's well-groomed speech still takes some getting used to, for someone who's spent most of his time in the slums for 20 years.

"I smelled worry on you." He comments. "But I could've guessed with without smell, I suppose. Want someone to talk to?"

He hesitates a moment at that, then flashes a hint of a smile.

"...well. I hate to trouble you with my own concerns, of course, but if you wish."

Bigby leans on the tree and shrugs.

"It's no trouble. I'm a curious person, even if I can't help you."

"Mm... I'm perhaps a little too well accustomed to keeping my thoughts to myself. It's crucial, as a skill, but, as I gather, not so commendable as a habit."

He smirks at that, scratching sheepishly at the back of his head.

"I've never found it's that necessary as long as you can handle the consequences of whatever you say." He grins. "Then again, having someone else to stop me from saying whatever comes to mind is probably keeping me alive."

He pauses, and then speaks again, "Mundies are assholes, aren't they?"

"...ah... well. My circumstances at home are.. demanding in somewhat.. exceptional ways, socially speaking. I have.. special obligations I cannot neglect for my own convenience." A pause, and he smiles a little to himself. "...'Mundies'... ...I suppose many can be. Especially those who are frightened, or ill-informed, but I suppose that goes for all manner of human beings."

"You don't have to rein back around here. I still get impressed every time I meet a mundie that hasn't been brainwashed into thinking mutants will eat their children... well. I guess I shouldn't be one to talk." A quiet chuckle follows this thought.

Alric raises an eyebrow at that, but politely plays like he didn't catch the reference. "...mm. I suppose my situation is... especially peculiar, in that respect. Of my grandfather, my father and mother... well... my step-mother, properly... and my half-brother, none are mutants. But while they couldn't always help me, they did far more for me than I can express, and I've never felt... outcast, at least, among them."

He pauses a moment, chewing on that, as though there's a caveat or a half-truth to it--but he continues on without elaborating on what that might have been at all.

"...I know well, also, how dangerous I could be--how dangerous, in truth, I am, even with all the discipline I learned from my grandfather. I can understand well why it would be terrifying. ...the question of how far the liberties of the individual extended when they intersect with the safety of the community is... politically and philosophically a difficult one."

He flashes a sheepish little smile.

"...my apologies, once I get started..." He trails off, since the implication's obvious, and he's making an effort at brevity, now that he's a little more focused.

"I don't mind you talking." He says immediately, and then pauses to take a drag from his cigarette, "You've got more experience with mundies than I do. In comparison to your lifespan, at least. I never really spoke to them until I was 20. At least, not past the amount I needed to..."

....He clears his throat awkwardly.

"I'm pretty sure my life isn't something I should be telling students."

Alric smiles a little more broadly, and reassuringly.

"My grandfather taught me that there's something to be learned from everyone. ...while there are, I'm certain, things best kept from the younger students, I don't believe you could do any particular harm, speaking to me about it--if you so wish, or if you have a point you feel you ought to make."
