The time was now. The media attention over his followers actions was too much. And after all, Xavier's little henchmen in London had figured it out. He was sure of it. There was no more time to bide. No more room for hesitation. It was act now, or the revolution would end in a prison cell, festering away in the disgusting care of this unclean world. Sublime couldn't stomach it. Couldn't fathom it. And whatever god help those who stood in the way of him and his dream of Homo Perfectus.

"All units are in place," Sublime whispered, peering out over the immaculate green, covered in moonlight, staring a drilling, piercing hole into the mansion. "Martha... it's your turn now," another whisper, as the floating apparatus before him, holding a strange glowing orb, began to shine even more brightly.

Just like that, the security systems failed. And just like that, Charles Xavier gasped and sent out a short, psychic burst to all X-Men, perhaps to everyone in the school, before he was overwhelmed and silenced, collapsing from his bed to the floor, stunned into sleep by a psychic force even he was not prepared for.

"This is it, Martha... our dream... U-Men! Bring me the Ashes of the Phoenix!" And like that, dozens of the men from the blurred video that Glamour and Spy had managed to obtain swarmed the ground, organic and mechanical, using a plethora of stolen mutant powers, attacked.

Adachi gives a start. In theory, he doesn't mind girls swatting his ass, but in practice, it's annoying when he's not getting any. He does pick up the pace, though, hurrying down the hall and assuming they're going in the same direction.

"Sure, I'll follow the invisible person to an unknown destination. No need to keep me in the loop!"

No one keeps him in the loop anyway, so he's honestly not surprised by this turn of events.

"You complain a lot for a security guard," she comments before falling silent as she moves ahead to make sure the way is clear.

"Wow, you sure don't know a lot about security guards." He doesn't refute the charges against him. When you're stuck with a boring job like school security guard, there's not much else to do.

All right, it's not that boring at the moment. But old habits die hard, and it's being non-boring in a really annoying way right now. Anyway, he continues to follow her, hoping that this is not going to end with him in excruciating pain, because he really hates when that happens.

After walking some time without encountering any enemies, Chris rematerialises before the disgruntled security guard, wiping the sweat from her brow as she stops moving for a moment. "I'm beginning to suspect they 'ave yet to reach this level... that or they've gone so far a'ead we 'ave no 'ope of catching up before they find whatever it is they're after."

In spite of his grumbling, Adachi seems remarkably unconcerned for someone in his situation, almost bored, glancing around as he tries to "keep up" with the invisible woman who could be headed anywhere at any speed.

He cheers up a bit when she appears again, because then there's something interesting to look at. "Hmm, could be," he says, as if he hadn't been bothering to expend any brainpower on the question. "If that's so... I could set some traps!"

Adachi doesn't move, but his eyes suddenly turn bright gold, and he points back in the direction they came from. "Don't go over there!" Of course, there's nothing visible there to avoid.

She glances back where he's gestured with a raised brow. "... I 'ope you remember to remove those traps when the attack is over."

He remains a lot more cheerful as long as she's materialized, because the view is so much more engaging. "Sure, I keep track of where my stuff is at. Kind of hard to lose a dimension, you know?"

Actually, he could lose one easily, but he is staying connected to these, so that's not an issue!

"I know what I'm doing. I'm a pro."

"I should 'ope so," she scoffs, rolling her eyes and continuing on. Nonetheless, she'll keep note of that particular place to make sure she doesn't accidentally walk into the trap in case it's not taken down.
