For all of the newcomers, welcome to Professor Xavier’s Institute of Higher Learning! For all of our returning students and staff, welcome back! Once Professor Xavier’s welcome speech wraps up, it’s time for everyone to get themselves situated in their dorms and, more importantly, get to know your fellow mutants! Even if you’re not sharing rooms, you’ll still be sharing the same campus with each other, so don’t be afraid to get used to all of those new faces! Or even catch up on old ones! You have options; don’t be afraid to use them.

Standing in the hallways was one student, offering a plate of cookies to everyone who walked by. One only, please. It's kind of tough to share if everyone is taking multiple cookies!

"Have a cookie, made by me! There's nothing wrong with it, I promise."

"Oh, um... Thank you."

Well, Kaguya found no reason to doubt this girl's words at all, so she takes one and gives it a try. It almost makes her wish she had any sort of cooking talent, really.

"You're welcome. Please enjoy the outcome of my Baking Experience."

The way she said that last part, it sounded more like she was talking about a power than what it actually literally meant.

"Baking Experience, right."

Kaguya noticed, and of course didn't buy it. Sure, this fellow student was bound to have powers of her own.

[knowitallgoddess]

"That one didn't go over well, did it? I need to put a little more thought into these kind of things."

If she couldn't get a laugh or have someone believe her, she'd just have to try harder.

"I suppose not... Ah, this is good, though."

Well, pity Kaguya didn't find it all that funny. Or believe her at all. She did smile a bit, though!

"Thank you. You're always welcome to more."

Thankfully, she didn't have enough on hand to over indulge.

Well, she doesn't really feel hungry enough to take another just now, so there's going to be more left over for everyone else.

"I'm Kaguya. Are you new here too?"

[knowitallgoddess]

"I've been here for a few years but thanks for asking. My name is Palutena."

She returned a smile.

"Are you Japanese?"

[eternalprincess]

She nods, almost replying that Kaguya was a Japanese name to begin with.

"I am, yes. Though, I was born on American soil..."

[knowitallgoddess]

"Well, having two cultures under your belt is always important. The more you know, the better."

Not quite like the couple of the anime she had watched before but Kaguya did look a lot like a few characters here and there.

"Now, where are you from originally?"

It's probably the hairstyle, it really isn't an uncommon one. Kaguya kind of likes being a child of two cultures, pretty much.

[knowitallgoddess]

"I'm from Athens, Greece. That's quite a ways away, isn't it?"

She was Grecian, no doubt. And she doubted that her family ever went outside those cultural boundaries in the past.

"And yet still possible to get there in a day." Well, it's true.

It's not as if her parents, immigrants both, don't still have a strong connection to Japan.

[knowitallgoddess]

"There's no real reason for me to go there either way."

Visiting her parents would just cause problems for them. Better to have them come visit her whenever they managed to be able to.

[eternalprincess]

"Ah, I suppose not..."

When will Kaguya realize that trouble tends to follow mutants around? Probably not any moment soon.

[knowitallgoddess]

"That means I have to have as much fun as possible here. So, how about it, will you be my friend?"

Super straight forward, at least.

[eternalprincess]

"Um, sure..."

That was kind of unexpected. But Kaguya doesn't seem to really mind, though, and seems happy enough to be Palutena's friend.

[knowitallgoddess]

"You don't sound all that sure."

Now she's just being a little mean but she is only teasing.

[eternalprincess]

"Do you usually try to catch people off guard like that?"

Kaguya is able to recognize that for what it is, at least.

[knowitallgoddess]

"Usually only if it works on people. That doesn't mean I'm not serious though. I'd really like to be your friend."

[eternalprincess]

"Ah, some people make it so easy..." It's true, take that Jaune guy for example, he was almost falling over himself for her.

She smiles. "In that case, okay."

[knowitallgoddess]

"Great! What room are you staying in here?"

Probably someplace next door. Palutena hadn't been over to the guy's dorms, if it was even allowed, but she figured it was similarly laid out.
