For all of the newcomers, welcome to Professor Xavier’s Institute of Higher Learning! For all of our returning students and staff, welcome back! Once Professor Xavier’s welcome speech wraps up, it’s time for everyone to get themselves situated in their dorms and, more importantly, get to know your fellow mutants! Even if you’re not sharing rooms, you’ll still be sharing the same campus with each other, so don’t be afraid to get used to all of those new faces! Or even catch up on old ones! You have options; don’t be afraid to use them.

What th -- [ Soren starts when suddenly there is a beach pail in his hands, and he very nearly drops it. It's only quick reflexes that keep it from clattering noisily on the ground. He just kind of stares at it for a few moments. ]

. . . if you can make buckets, why would you ask for one?

[Feliks just starts laughing, at that.]

Yeah, that's my mutation. Bucket-man, with like, the incredible power of bucket-making!

I don't have anything to make into one, besides your little mug there, and it's kinda too small for what I wanna do.

[ Soren puts the bucket on the counter, giving Feliks an annoyed look; he hadn't meant to imply that he thought Feliks' mutation was specifically making buckets, per se. He's heard of some weird mutations but nothing quite that stupid. ... the glare is mostly due to the fact that the mug he was using is now a plastic bucket, though. ]

Then go check supply closets or something, Bucket-man.

[ And he's turning to the cupboard to pull out another mug. He still wants his tea, damn it, but he's not drinking it out of a bucket. ]

Wow, wake up on the wrong side of bed or something?

[Yeah, the glaring and the unhelpfulness aren't actually that upsetting to Feliks, but now he thinks this guy seems funny to mess with. And so, when he opens the cupboard?]

[It's full of little colorful beach buckets.]

[ One hand still on the cupboard, Soren's other hand curls into a fist. Under his sweatshirt, the lumps move a little as his wings twitch in irritation. And then he slams the cupboard shut and whirls around - but the resulting gust of air is... rather stronger than it should be, and it knocks the bucket on the counter off onto the floor.

Soren doesn't give it a second glance instead focusing his glare once again on Feliks. ]

Was that really necessary?

[Okay, air manipulation of some kind? Feliks takes stock of that, but isn't really intimidated by it-- isn't really given to letting anyone intimidate him, more to the point.]

[He laughs outright, letting the buckets return to their natural state.]

Totally. It was hilarious! You should see the look on your face!

[Like a wet cat.]

[ The wet cat keeps on glaring. If Soren had a furry tail, it would still be puffed.

But then he huffs indignantly and turns away from Feliks again to finally see about finishing making his tea so he can retreat back to his room away from annoying cheerful people carrying melting bags of ice and turning cups into buckets!!!]

[He's laughing forever, and he's not even sorry.]
