For all of the newcomers, welcome to Professor Xavier’s Institute of Higher Learning! For all of our returning students and staff, welcome back! Once Professor Xavier’s welcome speech wraps up, it’s time for everyone to get themselves situated in their dorms and, more importantly, get to know your fellow mutants! You have options; don’t be afraid to use them.

[[ ooc: This is the general mingling post for all of our characters to get settled into their rooms, get to know each other, reminisce with old friends, all that jazz. The log will be split into multiple locations. ]]

That actually got a bit of a chuckle out of Arturia. "With as simple as its composition is, most students will not even notice it."

Of course, put one poster up on a wall, others will soon join it. And then it will be noticed. She chose not mention that.
koukai_kirai: (I'll sell what you got)

He knows better than to think it will remain alone and unobtrusive. He's seen the way this works. He does at least miss any malice in her omission of that detail, figuring she just doesn't think it's a problem.

"It's a club for fighting, not graphic design."

And it wasn't that bad. What was wrong with simple?

"And yet, a club for fighting requires multiple members," Arturia pointed out, twirling the card between her fingers.

"You could always send a mass email." Or she could. She had the email address at her fingertips.
koukai_kirai: (But the pigs won't quit)

That was true, and over the years, the old ones had dwindled away. Souji wasn't the only one who was gone, and even with Toshirou out of stasis, the remaining group was... well, only Toshirou. That wasn't a club, it was a tutoring arrangement.

"I'll be posting an announcement to the Intranet in the next few days, when the stragglers have come in."

[personal profile] scorchedchivalry 2014-09-02 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
"Are stragglers the kind of students you want in your club?"

Arturia glanced at the poster again. "Any sword art requires discipline."
koukai_kirai: (Take the cash and I'll keep it)

"The undisciplined ones will leave on their own, generally sooner rather than later."

That was one benefit of Hijikata's style of instruction. Anyone who had the strength of will to stick around most likely had enough of it to be worth teaching. Saved a lot of his time, and of everyone else's.

"And I've been informed that some of them have valid reasons to turn up a little late for the school year, and... discouraged from getting over-eager about the announcement."

He doesn't look or sound like a man who has once in his life been overexcited about anything.

"It appears as if that discouragement was not needed." Arturia held a hand out. "Allow me to hang your poster. I am certain I can find a proper place for it to ensure you have a selection of students for your club."
koukai_kirai: (I'd rather go to Hell)

He considered this offer. On the one hand, he wasn't so sure of her intentions, or of whether putting somewhere completely goddamn useless would be better or worse in his book.

On the other, given that second point, there wasn't much harm in it either way. He shrugged, and passed it over to her.

"I'll leave it in your hands, then." And wash his own hands of it.

Taking the poster, Arturia nodded and walked over to a group of couches with a blank wall behind them. She taped the poster up, a bit to the side so someone could stand next to a couch and be able to read it well enough, and nodded. There.

She looked over her shoulder at Hijikata. "I am skilled with the sword. If you need an assistant, I can aide you, but I will not be joining the club itself."
koukai_kirai: (Fuck like a Kennedy)

[personal profile] koukai_kirai 2014-09-05 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
"I'll keep the offer in mind."

It might not be necessary, depending on how many students showed interest, and he'd have to see for himself just how skilled any potential help was; he wasn't a man for taking people at their word. But he wasn't going to reject the offer out of hand, either.

"Arturia Pendragon, senior," she clarified, just in case he couldn't place her because of how her appearance had changed. "I also tend to go by Saber. I am easy to locate."
koukai_kirai: (Told me that my hair was red)

[personal profile] koukai_kirai 2014-09-05 01:51 pm (UTC)(link)
He had seen her around before, and the changes to her appearance were too great to really overlook. The confirmation that it was the same person was... frankly somewhat troubling, but he couldn't put a finger on why.

"Thank you for your assistance."

[personal profile] scorchedchivalry 2014-09-06 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
"You are welcome," Saber replied. "I am certain I will see you another time, Professor."

And with a slight nod of her head, Saber headed toward the foyer exit.
