For all of the newcomers, welcome to Professor Xavier’s Institute of Higher Learning! For all of our returning students and staff, welcome back! Once Professor Xavier’s welcome speech wraps up, it’s time for everyone to get themselves situated in their dorms and, more importantly, get to know your fellow mutants! Even if you’re not sharing rooms, you’ll still be sharing the same campus with each other, so don’t be afraid to get used to all of those new faces! Or even catch up on old ones! You have options; don’t be afraid to use them.

Well, I mean... because I'm a mutant now. [Not that he feels like it, but it's a fact, right?]

Honestly, I don't think it even matters for baseball. [Except it totally does; having an inexhaustible pitcher is pretty good] But I mean, I couldn't just lie about it, and I know a lot of people are already talking about whether mutants should be allowed to compete in professional sports...

Um, yeah we should, if it's not gonna affect the sport? People can get so hung up on the dumbest stuff, I totally swear.

I think so too, but at the same time I can understand why they'd be worried.

'Cause they're jerks who think people who aren't like them are always a threat?

Well I mean... even for us, we're not always fully aware of what we're capable of, right? [Koshi sure isn't exactly sure what the full extent of his powers are]

If you're old enough to go pro, you've probably got enough power control to shut it down. Like, a little trust, you know?

Trusting something at that level just to someone's word that they won't... especially if you can't tell after the fact...

Plus, it's hard on the players too - even if you know you didn't use your powers, how can you convince people who don't believe you?

You can't ever let what people like that think get in your way. If you can't convince them? Ignore them, and keep doing your thing.

Easier said than done... baseball's a team sport. There's a lot of people involved in making it happen.
